Sailing in a Winter Wonderland

A “winter wonderland” evokes visions of snow-covered trees, icicles and sleigh bells but here at Inspire Sailing we get to enjoy a different kind of wonderland, a watery one! 

The winter season here on the San Francisco Bay brings with it some of the best sailing conditions of the year. With the whipping summer winds mellowed out by the lack of central valley heat, the joys of light wind sailing are available for us all to enjoy. 

This is the perfect season to dust of your foul weather gear and don them for warmth instead of the wet. For many of us, it’s been some time since we have been able to get out on the water. There is no better time to get back into the swing of things than when it’s a bit calmer out there, and the ideal time to share your passion for sailing with others. So, grab your friends and family, make a big thermos of your favorite warm beverage, and join us for your first jaunt of 2022.
