Chowder Racing Serves Up Perfect Conditions!

Winter continues to bring excellent conditions for casual racing on the Bay. Last weekend, we had another lovely day of 10-12 knots of wind. 

Our crew pulled off a great start and started to pull away quickly. We finished line honors again, 5 minutes ahead of all our competition and we corrected out to another third-place finish. 

This time the race committee sent us up to X buoy twice! The course kept us working hard with a gybe spinnaker set and it gave us the chance to practice multiple spinnaker takedowns. 

The finish is always exciting, just off the Berkeley Yacht Club. This week we came into the middle marina entrance under spinnaker with excellent driving and spinnaker handling with a couple tricky gybes as we navigated the channel coming in.
