Daylight Saving season’s end brings changes to chartering at Inspire

Daylight Saving season ends on November 6, bringing some seasonal changes to chartering at Inspire Sailing. The changes described below will go into effect on Monday, November 7.

Reduced Rates on Bareboat Charters through March 12

Log lots of on-the-water days for less! As of November 8, bareboat charter rates are about 15% less than summer rates. Summer season rates resume Monday, March 13.

Available Booking Types

Full Day (9:00 AM - 8:00 AM next day) bookings are available year-round. Discounted half-day charters are unavailable as of November 7.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT NIGHT SAILING

Charterers must have completed Bareboat Cruising at Inspire Sailing to be certified for sailing or motoring at night. If you took Bareboat Cruising at another sailing school, inquire about undergoing a Night Sailing Check-out to get certified for night sailing. If you are not certified for night sailing and wish to stay aboard overnight, please be docked, moored, or anchored before sunset.

Charter Cancellation Policy

For all reservations after November 6, only 24 hours notice is required to cancel a charter reservation with no late cancellation fee. This gives you greater flexibility in planning your sails around inclement weather forecasts. During the Daylight Saving season (after March 12), 72 hours notice is required to cancel a charter reservation with no fee. Learn more about our cancellation policies here: Cancellation Policies at a Glance.

Year-round, Courses, Clinics, and Club Sails will carry on rain or shine. However, when wind speeds are forecast to be 30 or more knots sustained, conditions are deemed unsafe and we will cancel all on-the-water operations for the day.

Multi-Day Charter Discounts Continue

Multi-day charters are discounted 10% for two consecutive days and 15% off for three or more consecutive days.
