Building an Outdoor Classroom

We had a busy weekend at Inspire Sailing, as we prepare the school and club for classes, charters, and member events. Although the facilities and boats may seem familiar to those of you who have sailed out of the Berkeley Marina before, we want to give everything a fresh new look…and, in light of 2020, Covid safe too!

We are lucky that sailing, by its very nature, is all about the outdoors. Here at Inspire Sailing we are embracing the outdoors even more than usual to keep our students, members, guests, and staff safe.

Our focus this last weekend was preparing our patio area for outdoor classes and seminars, as well as pre- and post-sail gatherings. Although we still have some furnishings and fixtures to complete (and a huge ice machine to remove or replace!), these pictures show the exciting progress to date.

Similar (maybe even bigger!) efforts are going on inside. Stay tuned for those pictures in a coming post.
