Instructor Bridge Randall

Don’t worry, we won’t implement this dress code at Inspire Sailing!

Bridge’s other boat, “Umami” - now that’s a small boat!

Bridge Randall

Instructor

Bridge has been sailing small boats for the last 18 years!

He started off with an old $500 Alpha One Craigslist special and now he sails with his wife Nancy on their boat Gitana, a Beneteau First 235 up in Eureka, CA.

Sailing as a student and then as an instructor at OCSC has paid benefits beyond measure, Bridge says.

During Covid (and with the closure of OCSC), he took on the roll as Commodore for the Humboldt Yacht Club. Hard times but YouTube saved the day!

He loves sailing small boats… and the J24 is a big small boat! They are so engaging to your body and spirit. All the troubles of the world wash away and the wind fills your soul.

Bridge also just finished building a little Eastport Pram so the he can take a sailboat on all my land adventures. Of course her name is “Umami” because sailing makes everything better!

Bridge is thrilled to be back in Berkeley working at Inspire Sailing amid all his other sailing activities.
