OCSC Has Closed — Inspire Sailing Is Open!

The Olympic Circle Sailing Club, locally known as OCSC or OCSC Sailing, has closed permanently (due to covid) and vacated the premises in 2020.

However, in July 2021, a new sailing school and club, Inspire Sailing, opened in the same location at the Berkeley Marina!

Inspire Sailing is unaffiliated with OCSC Sailing, although Inspire Sailing was able to attract and enlist many of the sailboats that had been in the OCSC Sailing School fleet. The Inspire Sailing fleet currently includes sailboats like the J24, J80, J105, Olson 25, Catalina 320, Beneteau First 35, Dufour 36, and Beneteau 37.

Inspire Sailing is a sailing school, and offers sailing lessons, U.S. Sailing courses, advanced clinics, and seminars for students wanting to learn the joys and challenges of sailing.

Inspire Sailing is also a sailing club, and offers charter privileges to members. See our membership page for rates and policies. You can review our fleet page to check out the boats available for charter.

While not affiliated with OCSC, Inspire Sailing is affiliated with Modern Sailing School and Club in Sausalito. The owner and CEO of Modern Sailing, Leigh Hunt, is also owner and CEO of Inspire Sailing.
