Learn to Race J/24s!

Inspire Sailing’s J/24 Racing Skipper Clinic will help you gain confidence racing sailboats in any fleet!

This one-day J/24 racing clinic will start with a dockside discussion on basic racing rules, followed by on-the-water drills to hone our maneuvers. Each crew member will rotate as skipper of the boat throughout the day. The second half of the day, we’ll conduct short races with a race coach on a support boat to act as the race committee and as a coach. Back at Inspire Sailing, we’ll conclude the day with a race debrief and Après Sail with the race coach.

J/24 Racing Skipper Clinics will be jib and mainsail only with a skipper and 2 crew to allow students to lay a great foundation in the basics of racing. There is an option to “Buy the Boat” and bring your own crew or enroll in one of 3 spots on a boat. Clinics will run November through February.

PREREQUISITES
Must be currently certified to charter, with a resume of at least 6 days logged as skipper on a sport boat. This can be fulfilled at Inspire Sailing or by equivalent experience documented on a sailing resume.
