First Courses a Success!

It’s been a big week at Inspire Sailing… and we’re only just getting started! This past week, we held our first U.S. Sailing Basic Keelboat and Basic Cruising courses!

Basic Cruising candidate Mark K. earned honors as Inspire Sailing’s first graduate of a Basic Cruising on-the-water evaluation! Congratulations! We didn’t have a proper trophy handy, so we took a picture of him holding up the anchor after successful anchoring practice.

Thanks to member Tim H. (a certified skipper with Inspire Sailing) who acted as “competent but not proactive” crew for Mark during the evaluation. The sun came out just in time for a fast downwind sail back to Berkeley, and these guys were all smiles!

The Basic Keelboat students also did well. They will finish up this coming weekend in the second half of the 4-day course. They are featured in a short ‘departure video’ on our Facebook page.

We are ramping up courses quickly. Several more courses have been added to August, September, and October. Check the schedule here to book your course, clinic, or checkout now before spaces fill up!

Charters are also available for both our Silver/Gold fleet as well as our Sport Boat fleet.

Remember, in the San Francisco Bay some of the best sailing is in September and October!
