Announcing Opening Plans

With the opening of California and the beginning of summer nearly upon us, we are excited to announce two upcoming events!

1)  Boat Owner Appreciation Day - Sat June 19

We will kick off the summer season (locally known as “Sailstice”) by inviting our boat owners for a day on the water at Inspire Sailing.  Participating owners will skipper their boat; we’ll help fill each boat with crew if needed by drawing upon the many, many of you who have been patiently waiting for us to open.   We’ll do a short midday sail, and then return to Inspire Sailing for a tour of the refurbished facilities. We’re starting with owners, because without their generous gesture of putting their boats in the fleet, we wouldn’t have boats for you to sail!

2) First Charter Day - Sat June 26

Yes, we are finally opening!  We’ll open the doors for our very first charters and very first members on Saturday, June 26!  We anticipate an overwhelming demand for sailing, so reservations will be taken on a first come, first served basis during the week of June 21 leading up to the event.  More specific details coming on how and when to make a reservation.

What’s Next?

Please keep in mind, we are building the fleet from the ground up.  It takes a while to make the vessels charter ready; they won’t all be ready-to-go on Day 1.  Therefore, we will be adding membership “slots” as our fleet comes online, so that we maintain a reasonable member-to-boat ratio.

We’ll publish more details about these events and ongoing membership, charters, and courses next week.
