Elaine Ellefsen
Customer Service Representative
Elaine learned to sail during the pandemic in 2020. She had originally been searching for flying lessons, but ended up taking Basic Keelboat!
After Basic Keelboat, she was hooked - and it changed her life in many ways. For example, it’s how she met her partner Colin!
She completed Basic Cruising in 2021, and has sailed all around the SF Bay and around Honolulu. She’s looking forward to Bareboat Cruising next!
When she’s not enjoying her job at Inspire Sailing, she works full-time for a hospital organization in Alameda County as a clinical administrator managing a program to on-board new staff members in training and competencies and monitoring patient care testing.
Besides sailing, she has many other hobbies that encompass things she’s passionate about such as entertaining, cooking, and grilling. Whether it's for events for work, friends or large family reunions, she loves event planning and gathering people together for a good time.
Elaine’s interests take her beyond borders too. She has been on a couple of missionary trips to East Africa Uganda, visiting orphanages and speaking in conferences to community and government leaders on the subject of patient mental health awareness. During these visits, she had the opportunity to go on a couple of gorgeous safaris and sailing excursions down the Nile River.
Lastly, Elaine is working on illustrating and self publishing a children's book that she wrote years ago for a school paper.
