This is a 1 day clinic that delves into the why and the how of effective sail trim. It will focus on bringing these concepts onto the boat to set up our sails most efficiently for the conditions. We will get familiar with when to adjust our sheets, traveler position, jib lead, halyard tension, cunningham, outhaul, vang, and backstay to optimize our boat performance. The day will begin with a classroom session explaining sail trim theory and the remainder of the day will be spent on the boat applying this knowledge. This course is taught by a Race Coach with racing in mind, but cruisers are welcome.
